Congress of the Spanish Maritime Law Association

The National Congress 2024 organised by the Spanish Maritime Law Association (AEDM) will take place from May 29-31, 2024, celebrating the Association’s 75th anniversary. This hybrid event, hosted both in-person at the Uría Menéndez Auditorium and virtually via Zoom, will feature a series of panels addressing critical issues in maritime law, including the legal regime of maritime transport contracts, international legal perspectives on future ports, maritime insurance, and the Maritime Navigation Act. Esteemed speakers, including judges, professors, and legal professionals, will participate in the discussions. The event will also include tributes to former presidents and secretaries, a gala dinner at Palacio Neptuno, and a special event with the Navy.

The AEDM, established in 1949, plays a vital role in harmonizing international maritime law, promoting arbitration for maritime disputes, and collaborating with national and international organizations to reform and improve maritime law.
