This year, SCI will honor John C. Hadjipateras, CEO, Chairman, and President at Dorian Lpg Ltd., with the Silver Bell Award, and Beth Rooney, Director of the Port Department at The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, with the Distinguished Service Award.
We will again be supporting the Silver Bell Awards Dinner, hosted by the Seamen’s Church Institute, an organisation that champions seafarers and mariners, while strengthening the chaplains’ ministry, mariner advocacy, and maritime education programs that are core to its mission. On any given day, more than one million merchant mariners across 60,000 ships labor to ensure the delivery of the goods we depend on. These mariners depend on SCI to ensure the safety, dignity, and improved working and living conditions for their maritime workplace.
