Jonathan will be participating in the 19th International Colloquium on Commercial Insurance Law. It is organised by the Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law (IISTL), at Swansea University. This year, the Colloquium will focus on Contemporary and Emerging Trends concerning Insurance Law.

Jonathan will be the Chair of Session 5, regarding “Contemporary Doctrinal Issues”, along with distinguished barristers from 7 King’s Bench Walk and Quadrant Chambers. This session will focus on the Insurance Act 2015, and the issues this new regime presents. Particularly, the speakers will discuss the duty of fair presentation , the construction of warranties in insurance policies, and insurance fraud.

The Colloquium is organised annually by the IISTL, in an effort to promote research and discussion surrounding commercial insurance law. It will gather, in this edition, participants from the legal industry, academia, and judges from abroad. The Institute is one of the leading institutions in the UK concerning insurance and shipping law, and an emerging focus on Legaltech.
